ICP-MS

Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass SpectrometryThe Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) instrument enables the simultaneous qualitative and quantitative analysis of a wide range of elements. Our ICP-MS system consists of two main units: the Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma (ICP) and the Mass Spectrometer (MS). After the elements in the sample are ionized within the plasma, they are directed to the mass spectrometer, where they are separated according to their mass-to-charge (m/z) ratios for rapid, precise, and accurate measurement. The system is fully commissioned and ready for analysis/testing services.Common application areas include metals, soil and sediment, drinking water and wastewater, industrial waste, plastics, petrochemistry, food, plants, and biological fluids. The instrument provides a high-technology analytical technique that allows for the qualitative and quantitative measurement of numerous elements in both solid and liquid samples. For most elements, the detection limits of our instrument are below the ppb (µg/L) level.
